Who am I?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

(Tortosa, Catalonia, 1982). Since I graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, I\u2019ve explored many sides of journalism. I\u2019ve worked in the press, on the radio, and also on television \u2014 a bit of everything \u2014 as if to prove right the \u201cjack of all trades\u201d label someone gave me quite a few years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

I love the country where I live, as well as its history and its cuisine, which is why in recent years I\u2019ve been an editor for the magazines Descobrir Catalunya<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, S\u00e0piens<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, and Cuina<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, magazines with which I still collaborate regularly. I write for the newspaper ARA and I\u2019m co-owner of Bluverd Comunicaci\u00f3<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a company specializing in communication for businesses in the wine, gastronomy, and tourism sectors. In 2009, I completed the Master\u2019s in Creative Documentary (UAB)<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and that\u2019s also an area where I dedicate part of my time. Documentary filmmaking is an ambiguous format \u2014 halfway between journalism and cinema \u2014 that allows me to channel the need to tell stories that are too often left aside by the news agenda, constrained by the here and now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before becoming a journalist, I worked as a kitchen porter in a restaurant in Bray (Ireland) and was a chef \u2014 hat included \u2014 in a hotel in Braemar (Scotland). I consolidated my English in the Leith district of Edinburgh, and I learned French in Le Puy-en-Velay<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, in the French Massif Central. From August 2013 to December 2014, I lived in Edinburgh to write about the political process leading to the Scottish independence referendum held on September 18, 2014. I\u2019m a traveler by nature, and I feel privileged to work in a profession that has allowed me to discover the Sahara, Senegal, Bosnia, and Syria, among other corners of the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n
